Party Like a Chef was first opened in 2009 by Chef Lydia Neergaard and hosted live cooking parties in people’s homes. After winning Sylvan Lake’s “Win This Space” competition, Lydia and her husband Sean ventured out to fulfill a lifelong dream of operating a full-scale culinary kitchen and storefront that provides homemade, from-scratch foods. Since then, now known as Party Chef, it has grown to include an in-store and online market, experiential kitchen, culinary meal kits, and culinary education through in-house and in-home cooking classes. Lydia understands the Sylvan Lake community, having lived there her whole life, and wants to build strong family partnerships and relationships with vendors, producers, and Party Chef customers. Party Chef nurtures strength in our local economy by supporting local and Canadian businesses while also providing wholesome, garden and farm-to-table goods to the Central Alberta area. In addition, our culinary services and recipes provide fun interactive skills for healthy cooking and meal planning.
